About LPreportly
LPreportly is software for the portfolio lead at a small private equity, venture capital, real estate or fund-of-funds manager. Four worksheets work the holdings' own arithmetic on the page with no account: one position from its cost, the fund's ownership and the fund's own mark; the portfolio's analytics over realised and unrealised holdings; the quarter's valuation roll-forward; and the portfolio company review from its KPIs. The paid plan keeps the holdings with cost, ownership, marks and KPIs by quarter and every review, and exports the lot.
Why this site exists
This site exists because the arithmetic in a portfolio review is the same every quarter and is rebuilt by hand in a spreadsheet at most small funds, so a position's multiple on cost is worked three different ways by three people, the roll-forward does not reconcile to last quarter, and the KPIs live in an inbox. The worksheets make the arithmetic public and free; the record keeps the marks from drifting.
Who it is for
The person at a fund who monitors what it holds, marks it each quarter and writes the portfolio review
Not the investor relations lead calling capital and reporting to LPs, the founder raising, the owner valuing by method, the adviser running a deal, the administrator keeping the ledger, or the person managing their own investments
What it does not do
- No valuation of any company or asset: the mark is the fund's own and the worksheet takes it as an input
- No capital calls, investor updates or LP reporting: that is the relationship venture's product, at rapportvo.com, and this hub links there rather than repeating it
- No legal, tax or accounting position, no vendor ranking and no unsourced figure: the one external figure on the site is cited to the statute it comes from
What is on this site
4 free tools, each working its figure on the page with no account, and LPreportly Pro that keeps the record. All tools · Pricing.
- Portfolio monitoring worksheet: Work one position from its cost, the fund's ownership and the fund's own mark: value, unrealised gain, gross multiple on cost, share of NAV, revenue growth and runway.
- Private equity portfolio analytics worksheet: Read the whole portfolio: gross, realised and unrealised multiples on cost, the unrealised share of value, concentration in the largest position, the average position and the loss ratio.
- Portfolio valuation roll-forward: Roll the portfolio's value forward for the quarter: opening marks, new investments, exits at cost and their proceeds, the net mark change, the closing value and the period's return.
- Portfolio company management review sheet: Build one company's quarterly review from its KPIs: revenue growth year on year, runway from cash and burn, headcount change, and the position's value and multiple at the fund's mark.
What LPreportly Pro keeps
The worksheets are free forever. Pro turns them into the record: every holding kept against the fund with its cost, its ownership, its mark by quarter and the KPIs the company reported, the portfolio's analytics and the valuation roll-forward worked from the record rather than retyped, and every review saved under your own name.
